I have enjoyed shopping at this bakery in the past. I have been finding it disconcerting to see the increase inprices for goods in the store. Unfortunately,my last experience was not good, I asked that cheese be grated and when I went home, it had not been completed, chunks of cheese was in the bag, the woman at the counter was not in the mood to get the job done correctly.
Ipaid full priceand expected the job tobe done.
New sign must have been pricey
I went recently and the service was poor, customers yelling and calling each other names because their is no proper line to the cash register. Very crowded and not much room to move about and enjoy the store.
Look from all the greek bakeries in Toronto it'a the best in flavour and quality and in price . I've traveled in Greece many times and I've tasted great sweets . There sweets are athentic . it's just like I'm buying from Greece . I do agree that it can get very busy in there and they can be a little frustating. However you need to remember , there dealing with customer service.
They have my vote.
Great bakery. Cheese is a bit too pricey though. A one stop shop for sure. I especially love there roasting pans!! -) Ellas!
The almond cookies that I bought were great. They were fresh and soft as they should be. People at work were quite impressed. The same cookies at other bakeries tend to be hard. Thanks Serano, and Keep up the good work.
I have been coming to your bakery for more than 15 years and it even gets better everytime...I always purchased all of my occassion cakes from you guys.
Their almond dark chocolates are best in Toronto!!!
Serano is Greek baking at it's best! Clean, super fresh and A+ ingredients. In Greece, the bakeries use a whipped cream-type cream to cover their cakes. Serano does exactly this. No butter or shortening icing. They also have a small selection of Greek food products such as various cheeses, coffee, rusks, olives, olive oil, etc. Add this to the great prices and the equally great service and you have a great Greek bakery experience!
We live in Etobicoke near the airport and will gladly travel to Serano Bakery once every week or two.
